Reveal and ReRelease of THE GATHERING: Book One of the Lia Fail Chronicles by S.L. Dearing

The Gathering: Book One of the Lia Fail Chronicles is the first in a new Paranormal,  Fantasy, and Adventure Series.
Another world war has happened and everything we knew is now gone. There are no more countries.  No more government... only survivors who have created a new world made up of small colonies.  It has been  thirteen years and the village of Lia Fail sits peacefully above the Hollywood Reservoir in the Santa Monica Mountains.  The settlement is making ready to host the fall Gathering, a time where every six months the other colonies from various parts of what was once Southern California visit for ten days of fun and reminiscence.  The Gathering begins as any other party.  A time for new loves, old friends, family, dancing and fun, but all too soon that changes.  The people in Lia Fail begin to experience strange goings on they can't explain, unseen forces attack several guests and friends begin to distrust friends.  When they receive news of a horrific massacre, they realize they must face an impending dark evil that threatens to descend on the tranquil village.
Alia Stark, the queen of Lia Fail, must face this darkness.  But she will face the evil along side her oldest and dearest friends, as well as an amazing new ally.  The fate of her people, the lives of her children and freedom itself rests in her hands.  Will she have the courage to do what must be done?
This is the beginning of a journey that will change all of their lives forever.

Join us October 5 from 3-7pm PST on Facebook for a grand party event.  There will be games and prizes from LOTS of authors and Swag artists.  Please come and join the fun!!

A day early but....

Nine Days is available in paperback on CreateSpace!!!  I'm so excited!  I just ordered nine paperback copies and their scheduled to arrive on 10/9 (which also happens to be my birthday).  So, official publication date is 9/27 (2+7=9), paperbacks should be here on the 9th and the book is NINE DAY.  That's got to be a good sign... right?  Everyone will fall madly in love with Andy and Kai, Pil and Popo (and probably Jase - he's my husband's favorite character), which means everyone will love the book and recommend it to all their friends, who will also love it and recommend it and the circle will go on forever!  (Power of positive thinking, right?)

It'll take a couple days for it to pop up for sale on Kindle and I can't click "publish" for the Nook version until tomorrow (which I will do before leaving for school).  But here's a secret... the ebook version is currently available on Smashwords.

The cost for the paperback is $9.99 and the ebook price is 99cents (these are also the same prices that they'll be on Amazon and Barnes & Noble)

So if you'd like to get your copy of Nine Days a bit early click below.

I'm SO excited!!

P.S.
Don't forget, the giveaway is still going on.  You can win you own paperback copy, e-copy or e-copy of my first book Future Letters.  Here's the Giveaway link
I'm also having a facebook event this weekend the celebrate the release with plenty of chances to win copies of the paperback and ebook, a paperback copy of Future Letters plus some other cool stuff!

***COVER REVEAL*** Nine Days by H.R. Willaston (and Giveaway!)

NINE DAYS
by H.R. Willaston

Release Date: 9/27/13
Synopsis:
Andy Qwinn has always loved everything about water.  She trains all year to keep her spot on her high school's swim team.  She volunteers at an aquarium.  And she earns extra money as a science tutor to help her reach her dream of going away to college and working to protect marine animals and their oceans homes.

In a family where artistic abilities are coveted above everything else, being placed in the varsity swim team as a freshman or earning an internship to work with sea otters aren't seen as a great accomplishments.  Spending the summer in art camp is more important than being offered the chance to study dolphins in Belize.  Her four siblings have been in the artistic spotlight since preschool.  At 17, Andy can't act, draw, paint or sing.  She didn't inherit her mother's graceful gift of dance or her father's talent to play any instrument he picks up.  While her parents attempt to pull Andy's "hidden talents" out through dance, music and art lessons, her stepparents have their own ways of reminding her about her failures - both as a an artist and as a daughter - and that she isn't even ordinary in a family full of extraordinary.

Everything changes when she decided to runaway and spend her spring break doing what she's been dreaming of doing for years.  With the click of a mouse, she changed her itinerary from an ordinary week long visitation with her mom, step-dad and step-sister to an extraordinary nine days in Hawaii, working at an aquarium with a couple of monk seals and their intern - Kai.  She spends the week meeting new people, getting the chance to experience things she's never thought possible before and learning more about herself than she could in any art class

How much can Andy's life change in nine days?  Doing what she wants?  Making her own decisions without parental approval?  Dealing with the consequences of those decisions?

What happens when the nine days are up?
Will be available in ebook from Barnes & Noble and Amazon
